Extinction events
Phase 2 survival rounds where hydrated specimens stake to face desiccation, vacuum, radiation, freezing, or pressure — nothing is ever burned but the entry fee.
Periodic on-chain survival rounds, themed on the five things this animal genuinely survives:

- Entry is open to any HYDRATED specimen, for a small
$DSUPstake. - Resolution is commit-reveal RNG, weighted by traits — an ANTARCTIC-environment specimen has better odds in FREEZING, a LOW EARTH ORBIT specimen in VACUUM, and so on.
- Survivors split the pot. Non-survivors lose the stake only. The NFT is never burned. The TBA is never touched. Nothing is destroyed but the entry fee — a protocol that can delete your bag is a protocol nobody sizes into.
- Tun specimens are immune and ineligible. You cannot hide and hunt in the same epoch.
Survivor marks
Surviving an event writes a permanent counter to the specimen and stamps it on the art:

This creates a second prestige track that competes with the first. Tun days measure patience; survivor marks measure exposure. They are mutually exclusive by construction — you cannot accumulate both in the same epoch, ever. Two viable metas means two buyer types, means an actual bid on both sides of the book, means the vault has volume, means the flywheel has fuel.
A collection with one optimal strategy is a collection with no trading.
"Mutually exclusive by construction" follows directly from the state machine in §4: entry requires HYDRATED, and a specimen sitting in an active event round is, for that round, not accruing tun weight regardless of what it does afterward — so the two tracks can never both advance from the same stretch of time. Trait-weighted odds are the same Environment and Claw axes that drive rarity in §10; this is a phase 2 module, DsupEvents.sol in §11, and ships after the core state machine and distributor have run long enough to trust the RNG and payout accounting under real stakes.
